DAS collaborated with A83's printmaking studio in New York, to create a new iteration of A Walk in the Town — exhibited at the 2024 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale—titled Flakes of the Snow Country. This work simplifies and abstracts the architectural imagery from A Walk in the Town, employing a combination of four ink colors and nine shades of cardstock to achieve maximum variation within a limited edition. The drawings take on a more patterned, less recognizable form, obscuring specific details, while the folded Tatebanko model made from these prints vividly convey the intriguing spatial relationships between architecture and landscape.
